McGurk on stoning of bus near Vitina: We expect a swift and thorough process and full accountability

Head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo Gerard McGurk condemned the stoning of a bus operating on the Belgrade-Strpce route near Vitina, saying that an investigation into the incident was underway and that the OSCE would closely monitor developments.

McGurk also stressed the importance of freedom of movement and the safety of all communities.

“An investigation is underway, and we expect a swift and thorough process, as well as full accountability. Freedom of movement and the safety of all communities must be safeguarded. We will closely monitor further developments,” McGurk wrote in a post on the social media platform X.

A bus operated by Tandems was stoned near Vitina on Saturday evening. Around 15 passengers were on board at the time.
