The Deputy Director of the National Employment Service in North Mitrovica, Natasa Milenkovic, stated that the closure of this institution has endangered the basic right to work and live for Serbs in the region.

"Unfortunately, today again, Pristina has continued its raids on Serbian institutions, this time targeting an institution that provides services to a large number of unemployed people, regardless of their ethnic or religious affiliation," Milenkovic emphasized.

She added that this raid endangers not only the lives and livelihoods of the National Employment Service employees, but also of many service users, many of whom rely solely on social assistance.

"By raiding our offices, they have not only put at risk the lives of the people present and those working there, but they have also denied the right to work and to live to our employees and numerous service users, primarily recipients of social benefits, who will now be unable to access their entitlements and other support," Milenkovic said.
