Muhaxhiri on the failure of the referendum: Missed opportunity due to a lack of willingness from all sides to find a solution

It was a missed opportunity because this was a good chance to start the political normalization of the north, but this is our reality due to a lack of willingness from all sides to find a solution, analyst Artan Muhaxhiri says for Kosovo Online after the unsuccessful referendum in northern Kosovo for the dismissal of mayors.

Muhaxhiri believes that now it will take more energy and dialogue to find the right solution to create conditions for elections in the four municipalities.

"I consider the situation very sad because now the focus will be on the four mayors, which means that the energy that should be directed towards more important things like the dialogue and reaching a final agreement will be lost. This is very unnecessary, but it is our reality, which means that there is a lack of willingness from all sides to find an appropriate solution," Muhaxhiri says.
