Office for Kosovo and Metohija: KLA graffiti on the Jovanovic family house in the village of Mogila
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija stated that graffiti reading UÇK (KLA) was written on the house of the Jovanovic family in the village of Mogila in the municipality of Vitina last night, and called for those responsible to be identified and adequately sanctioned, as well as for the international community to treat such cases with the utmost attention.
“On the family house of the Jovanovic family in the village of Mogila in the municipality of Vitina, graffiti glorifying the terrorist organization KLA was written last night. The threatening inscriptions on the wall of the house and the fence were noticed this morning by the head of the family, Radoslav, who lives in the house with his son Milos,” the Office for Kosovo and Metohija said in a statement.
It is also emphasized that this is a deliberate provocation against the Serbian people and the spreading of ethnic hatred and intolerance in this majority-Serb area.
“It is well known how much the Serbs suffered at the hands of the criminal organization KLA, and any mention of it causes additional fear and unrest in Serbian communities,” the Office recalled in the statement.
It also noted that while the Kosovo Police detain and punish Serbs without any basis, even for inscriptions on T-shirts with symbols of fan clubs, at the same time no one has been held accountable for such threatening messages directed at the Serbian people, nor have those responsible for writing such graffiti ever been sanctioned, even though their obvious intention is intimidation and raising tensions.
“We expect and demand that those responsible be identified and adequately sanctioned, and that the international community treat such cases with the utmost seriousness and attention,” the statement added.
