Office for Kosovo and Metohija: The secessionist movement in Kosovo brought suffering, exodus, regression, and instability

The secessionist movement in Kosovo has brought suffering, hatred, exoduses, regression, and chronic instability to the region, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija stated, adding that institutions in Pristina are today "celebrating a non-existent holiday of a non-existent state, and that if one were to speak of an anniversary today, it would be the anniversary of a failed and unfulfilled project whose ideologists and executors are slowly but surely disappearing from the historical stage."
"The provisional self-government institutions in Pristina are celebrating a non-existent holiday of a non-existent state, and if today we can speak of any kind of anniversary, it is that of a failed and unfulfilled project, whose ideologists and executors are slowly but surely fading from the historical scene. Even in a world now in decline – one that was dominated by a single superpower and a single ideology – the self-proclaimed 'Kosovo' has, for 17 years, failed to gain the support of the majority of UN member states. In the near future, we will witness the continued erosion of the idea that it is possible to create pseudo-states through force and unilateral moves in blatant violation of the sovereignty and integrity of other nations," the statement reads.
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija points out that we are living in a time of fundamental shifts in global political relations, which is bringing many truths to light. As a result, the issue of the brutal aggression against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the unlawful secession of Serbia’s southern province will undoubtedly be revisited.
"The secessionist movement in Kosovo and Metohija has brought suffering, hatred, exoduses, regression, and chronic instability to our region. Because of the idea of the so-called 'independent Kosovo,' many Albanians, Serbs, and members of other ethnic communities living in Kosovo and Metohija have suffered. Thousands of families have been irreversibly devastated. Instead of working together toward democratic development and peaceful coexistence, for the past quarter-century, we have witnessed the collapse of democracy in Kosovo and Metohija, widespread violence, and the systematic violation of human rights for all those who oppose the secessionist and Greater Albanian ideology," the statement continues.
It emphasizes that the Serbian people will continue working to build good and mutually beneficial relationships with all.
Serbia, the statement underlines, will not only refuse to accept the seizure of part of its own territory but will also continue to use all political, diplomatic, and international legal means to protect its state and national interests.
