OSCE: We call on all institutions to continue efforts to locate the missing

The OSCE Mission said that, on the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, it joined families in remembering their loved ones who were still listed as missing.

In a post on X, the Mission said that recent efforts to locate human remains in Zubin Potok highlighted the importance of continued work to locate, exhume, and identify missing persons, which it described as crucial to establishing the truth and advancing justice.

“We call on all relevant institutions to continue these efforts and cooperate fully through information sharing, searches, the recovery of human remains, and forensic examinations, so that families can finally receive the answers they have been waiting far too long for,” the OSCE Mission stated.

On the occasion of the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, UNMIK said that more than 1,500 people were still listed as missing 27 years after the conflict in Kosovo, stressing that victims and their families must remain at the center of efforts to clarify their fate.
