The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, responded tonight to the US Ambassador in Pristina, Jeffrey Hovenier, and said that Serbia knew perfectly well where the borders were in Kosovo - those were the borders of Serbia in accordance with the UN Charter and Resolution 1244.

"We know very well, Ambassador, where the borders are in Kosovo and Metohija, those are the borders of Serbia in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and Resolution 1244. And the Serb List is the choice and voice of the Serbs who defend the national interests of their people in Kosovo and Metohija, not foreign embassies," he wrote on Twitter.

Hovenier said today that the US knew where the borders of Kosovo were and that this included the north.

"We know exactly the borders of Kosovo, and that includes the north of Kosovo, as I have said many times. We know exactly where the border is. It is north of Mitrovica. We want the Serb List to play its role as a political party in a sovereign, independent, and democratic Kosovo. We do not consider it a Serbian political party, we consider it a party of ethnic Serbs in Kosovo. We have to clarify this," Hovenier said.
