Petkovic: Interrogations of Serb List leaders – brutal political persecution of Serbs in the north

The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, stated this evening that the orders to interrogate the leaders of the Serb List as suspects for "document forgery" are indicative of the brutal political persecution of Serbian leaders in the north, which was ordered by Albin Kurti and, he warned, will have far-reaching consequences.

"Kurti continues to carry out terror in the north of Kosovo and Metohija! Now he wants to arrest the political representatives of the Serbian people to fulfill his goal—to expel half of the Serbs and arrest the other half," Petkovic wrote on the social network "X."

He emphasized that the leadership of Serbian institutions has not falsified anything but has acted strictly in accordance with the law, providing services to both Serbs and Albanians.

"If Kurti had formed the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM), we wouldn't be in this situation today," Petkovic noted.

He also conveyed that Belgrade immediately informed the international community and KFOR about this latest act of violence by Kurti.

"If their highest achievement is mere statements and verbal condemnation without any concrete action, it becomes clear what lies behind Kurti's persecution of Serbs," Petkovic concluded.
