Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, stated that the celebration of the Kosovo Security Force Day was nothing more than a holiday of "Greater Albanian chauvinism and the promotion of the idea of a mono-ethnic self-proclaimed Kosovo". He emphasized that the main promoter of such ideology, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, had not made an effort to conceal this fact.

Petkovic stressed that the promotion of the KSF with symbols of the KLA and "Greater Albania" was a warning to all countries in the Western Balkans region.

"The parade of a paramilitary force, to which Pristina has no right under UN Resolution 1244, with symbols of the terrorist KLA and the flag of the so-called 'Greater Albania', is the most open threat to the countries of this region, against which Kurti and Greater Albanian chauvinists express territorial pretensions. For years, Belgrade has warned that the militarization of the KSF was the greatest threat to peace and stability in the Western Balkans, and today's fascist parade confirms this very clearly", the statement from the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija reads.

He points out that a formation that embraces the "traditions of the criminal and terrorist KLA" is the same in nature and goals, and anyone, he adds, who does not notice this will be responsible for all the evil that may result from Kurti's militant actions.

Petkovic warns that by clearly indicating that the KSF is the successor to the KLA, Kurti unequivocally threatened the Serbs in Kosovo with new crimes and pogroms.

According to him, Serbia takes this threat very seriously.

"On this occasion, we strongly condemn any form of support from the international community to this illegal paramilitary organization whose doctrine can be reduced to the destruction of all those who oppose the realization of the fascist concept of 'Greater Albania'", Petkovic stated.
