Starovic on the KSF and "Greater Albania": The international community has one standard for the Serbs and a completely different one for the Albanians
State Secretary in the Ministry of Defense of Serbia, Nemanja Starovic, asked, regarding the symbols of "Greater Albania" on the members of the Kosovo Security Force, whether anyone from the international community would say anything against what he referred to as the "flagrant promotion of the fascist concept".
Starovic, on the "X" platform, stated that the KSF should not exist because KFOR represented the only legitimate armed force in Kosovo in accordance with the UN Security Council Resolution.
"Many members of the KSF wore patches representing 'Greater Albania', the desired state that encompasses all Albanians in the Balkans. It is an intimidating concept that existed only during the fascist/nazi occupation of the region during World War II and led to mass crimes against the Serbs, Jews, Roma people, Macedonians, etc. What message this sends to these non-majority communities in Kosovo when armed soldiers today wear symbols of 'Greater Albania'", Starovic asked.
He reminded that Serbia had been severely punished for the alleged concept of "Greater Serbia", which had never represented state policy in the 20th century.
"Would anyone in the international community now say a word against this blatant promotion of the fascist concept by active members of the KSF? I don't believe so, just as everyone remained silent when a KSF member, who shot an 11-year-old Serbian boy, was released. It is more than clear that there is one standard for the Serbs and a completely different one for the Albanians", Starovic concluded.
