Representatives of the Serb List, Dragisa Milovic and Igor Simic, met today with UNMIK Chief Caroline Ziadeh to discuss the upcoming UN Security Council session, where the semi-annual UNMIK report on the situation in Kosovo will be presented.

The Serb List representatives highlighted the ongoing institutional violence against Serbs, including minors and children of Serbian and Bosniak nationality, who were recently beaten and unjustly deprived of their freedom by the Kosovo police.

They also pointed out that one parliamentary mandate belonging to the Serbian people was taken away in the Pristina Assembly and instead handed over by the Pristina regime to Nenad Rasic, effectively gifting it to the Self-Determination Movement led by Albin Kurti, according to the Serb List’s statement.

Additionally, concerns were raised over the pressure exerted by Kosovo institutions on Serbs, including unjustified raids on businesses, arbitrary arrests of Serbs for war crimes without evidence, while attacks on Serbs often go unpunished.

Mrs. Ziadeh was informed that the Serb List supports UNMIK's work in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and demands that the report reflect the real situation on the ground and the suffering of the Serbian people.
