Ruzic: Kurti behaves arrogantly and irresponsibly; patience and wisdom the way to victory
The Minister of Education in the Serbia Government, Branko Ruzic, stated that a compromise solution was something that the state of Serbia strives for, bearing in mind that in every compromise, both sides get a little bit of something they don't want. "When the European Union and Pristina realize that a compromise does not mean that Serbia loses everything, that solution will become more realistic," Ruzic said for the Pink portal.
"Serbia's insistence on the fulfillment of the signed agreements is clear, and the format of the talks reconfiguration can always be discussed with the more resolute US participation while respecting our state and national interests," Ruzic adds.
He noted that Albin Kurti had been behaving politically very irresponsibly, infantile and arrogantly for a long period of time, with an obvious destructive desire to use constant provocations to lead to a sharp reaction of the Serbian people in Kosovo, as well as the state of Serbia.
"Like an elephant in a glass shop. The last flagrant violation of fundamental rights is the ban on His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia from coming to the Patriarchate of Pec, which caused a clear condemnation of that act by the US ambassador to Serbia. That is a clear message for those who can read between the lines. Our room for maneuver is very limited but I believe that every reaction demonstrated by our people in Kosovo and Metohija and our state leadership exudes wisdom and always represents a new small victory. Patience and wisdom are the way to victory," Ruzic pointed out.
Commenting on the pressures on Belgrade from the international community and the criticism that the opposition in Serbia sends to the authorities, Ruzic said that he respected the opposition as much as it was ready to be a corrective factor of the authorities and to help Serbia get out of the geopolitical labyrinth successfully.
"In that political drama, it is very important to see the degree of tolerance and support as a response to the insolence of Pristina and Mr. Kurti, which is demonstrated primarily by the strongest economic and political power in the EU, for reasons known only to it. I don't like to comment on the foreign internal political decisions of big and powerful countries, but with common sense, I don't see how the European perspective of the region will continue to open up by supporting fueling the fire. They should be able to explain it to their Public Opinion, if, God forbid, there is much wider coverage of the escalation of political instability, all in the context of the Ukrainian crisis where there are certain people who would hardly wait for Albin Kurti to be the trigger of a new hot spot in Europe. I respect our domestic opposition as much as they are ready to be a corrective factor of the government and to help us get out of this geopolitical labyrinth successfully, all together successfully in the final epilogue. Every citizen can see by their behavior how aware they are of this," Ruzic concluded.
