Savic: The mothers of Kosovo and Metohija are gathering tomorrow against Kurti's cruelty
A meeting will be held in North Mitrovica tomorrow at 3 p.m. as a response of women from the north of Kosovo against, as they say, the "oppression and cruelty" they suffer daily from the authorities in Pristina.
The holding of this meeting was announced by Gordana Savic, the head of the health promotion service and scientific research at the Clinical Hospital Center in North Mitrovica, and she pointed out that the people were worried.
"We don't want to live in a ghetto and raise our children in these conditions. We want our children to be born, live, and be educated in freedom and peace like all other children in this world. And I think they deserve it, that they are no different from other children. That is why we women will gather on Wednesday in Kosovska Mitrovica and express our dissatisfaction and our great concern, first of all, for our children who were born in this holy land and who have the right to continue living here in freedom and peace, for what we are all fighting for. We can't stand the cruelty; Kurti taking the money we need to raise our children, taking away a piece of bread from our children, this is too much. You will all agree with me. Why should our children be intercepted by special forces with rifles on their way to school? Only because our country is Serbia. That is why I once again invite all women to gather on Wednesday in Kosovska Mitrovica at a big rally and express our dissatisfaction and concern," she said at the press conference.
Savic has been employed at the Clinical Hospital Center for 30 years, and she announced the gathering of women because she spent her entire life in North Mitrovica and she is the mother of a first-year student at the Faculty of Medicine in North Mitrovica.
Savić je, inače zaposlena u Kliničko bolničkom centru 30 godina, a ona je najavila skup žena, jer je čitav svoj život provela u Severnoj Mitrovici i majka je je studenta prve godine Medicinskog fakulteta u Severnoj Mitrovici.
