Serb List expresses support for fellow Serbs in Gracanica: Politically motivated arrests will not intimidate our people

Officials of the Serb List today expressed support for their fellow Serbs in Gracanica following yesterday’s arrest of directors of educational and healthcare institutions, stating that politically motivated arrests and the ordering of detention orchestrated by the regime in Pristina will not intimidate the Serbian people.

“Groundless and politically motivated arrests and the ordering of detention for honorable and honest Serbs, orchestrated by the regime in Pristina following their targeting by Nenad Rasic, will not intimidate our people in Gracanica and across Kosovo and Metohija. Even today’s provocations by Rasic’s relatives and close associates directed at citizens who were peacefully protesting against these unjust arrests demonstrate the full arrogance and recklessness of those attempting to intimidate the Serbian people,” the Serb List stated in a post on Instagram.

For that reason, the statement adds, Serb List officials, as always in the most difficult moments, were today in Gracanica to support their fellow Serbs, call for peace and restraint, and convey the message that they are not alone.

The Serb List called on the international community to react as urgently as possible, stating that what is taking place is a “politically motivated persecution of the Serbian people who refuse to sell their faith for personal gain.”
