The Serb List has responded to today’s raid and violent seizure of the Sports Hall in Leposavic by the Kosovo Police, supported by certain Serbs who serve the interests of Albin Kurti and who have willingly renounced their Serbian name, honor, and the interests of their people. The Serb List described this act as a continuation of the persecution of Serbs and everything Serbian in northern Kosovo.

They emphasized that this brazen act severely disrupted the everyday lives of Leposavic citizens, especially the youth, who are now left without a place for sports activities, socializing, and healthy physical and mental development.

“Such actions not only endanger the regular conduct of sports competitions, but also the academic activities of students from the Faculty of Physical Education, who use the Hall as part of their educational curriculum. It is particularly shameful and disgraceful that individuals of Serbian origin are participating in this seizure—those who, despite the will of their people, serve the regime of Albin Kurti and have made themselves accomplices in a project aimed at erasing everything Serbian in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija,” the Serb List stated.

The Serb List called on international representatives to respond and protect the fundamental human rights of the Serbian people in Kosovo. However, they added that they do not expect any concrete action, noting that it is increasingly clear that some of these representatives are providing tacit—and even open—support to Albin Kurti in his persecution of Serbs.

“The Serb List stands firmly with its people and will continue to fight for truth, justice, and freedom. Nevertheless, we want to clearly state that we do not accept the unilateral and violent actions of the regime in Pristina, nor will we accept the 'new reality' Kurti is trying to create in Serbian municipalities through force and weapons,” the statement concluded.
