Serb List: Party representatives summoned by prosecutor, continued institutional pressure

The Serb List announced today that party representatives Igor Simic, Ivan Zaporozac, Ivan Todosijevic, Zoran Todic, and Vasilije Tomasevic have been served with a summons from the prosecutor in connection with proceedings initiated against them in 2024, describing it as a continuation of institutional pressure and part of a plan aimed at persecuting Serbs.

"Serb List representatives Igor Simic, Ivan Zaporozac, Ivan Todosijevic, Zoran Todic, and Vasilije Tomasevic have been summoned by the Basic Prosecutor's Office in North Mitrovica to give statements as suspects on August 13," the Serb List said in a statement.

It added that the proceedings have been ongoing since Kosovo Police raided Serbian institutions two years ago.

"They are accused of allegedly falsifying documentation, which, translated into plain language, means they are being prosecuted because they headed Serbian institutions that Pristina does not recognize. This is part of a broader plan aimed at persecuting the Serbian people and continuing institutional pressure against all those who stand by their people and defend their right to remain," the Serb List said.

In August 2024, members of the Kosovo Police raided the buildings of the temporary municipal authorities in four Serb-majority municipalities in northern Kosovo, as well as other institutions operating within Serbia's system, seizing part of their documentation.

At the time, Serb List Vice President Dragisa Milovic said that the deployment of police to northern Kosovo had only one goal – to intimidate the people into leaving.
