Serb List representatives with Orav: EU should take a clear stance in condemning the Pristina regime's behavior
A delegation from the Serb List, led by its president, Prof. Dr. Zlatan Elek, met today with the new head of the EU Office in Pristina, Aivo Orav.
At the meeting that took place in North Mitrovica, the difficult position of the Serbian people was presented, who, as stated by the Serb List, are subjected daily to the repression of Albin Kurti's regime, whose obvious goal is to expel the Serbian people from these areas.
It was pointed out that institutional violence is also being used against Serbian youth and that politically motivated proceedings against prominent Serbs have become a tool for harassment and pressure on the entire Serbian community.
The representatives of the Serb List called for greater involvement from the international community, de-escalation of the situation in the north, and concrete actions from the European Union to protect the Serbian people.
"The key to solving the problems of the Serbs lies in respecting the rights of our people, as well as in honoring the agreements guaranteed by the European Union. The formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities has been delayed for over 11 years, and this is the cause of many of the problems we are facing today in Kosovo and Metohija. Therefore, we demand that the European Union take a clear stance in condemning the behavior of the regime in Pristina," the Serb List said in a statement.
