The United States has the strongest military in the world, while in the Western Balkan region, the most powerful military is that of Serbia, ranking 56th globally out of 145 countries, according to this year's classification of the world's strongest armies by the defense data platform "Global Firepower".

After the US, Russia ranks second, and China third.

On this list, the top 10 countries with the most powerful military forces, in order, include India, South Korea, Great Britain, Japan, Turkey, Pakistan, and Italy.

Among the countries in the region, Serbia has the most powerful military, ranking 56th, followed by the armies of Croatia, Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo.

Croatia ranks 66th, Albania 90th, North Macedonia 110th, Bosnia and Herzegovina 116th, and Montenegro 129th.

Kosovo is at the 135th position.

The last on the list is Bhutan.

The ranking of military strength is based on over 60 factors, including the number of soldiers, military equipment, financial stability, geographical location, and available resources.
