The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia issued a statement marking the anniversary of the signing of the Charter of the United Nations, reaffirming that Serbia remains firmly committed to the principles on which the international order is founded, including the sovereign equality of states, respect for territorial integrity, and the peaceful settlement of disputes.

The Ministry recalled that, more than eight decades ago, the signing of the Charter of the United Nations laid the foundations for an international order based on the rule of law, dialogue, and cooperation among states.

"On the anniversary of the signing of the UN Charter, the Republic of Serbia once again reaffirms its firm commitment to the principles on which the United Nations is founded—sovereign equality of states, respect for territorial integrity, the peaceful settlement of disputes, and the strengthening of multilateral cooperation," the Ministry said in a post on the social media platform X.

The statement concluded by emphasizing that upholding these principles in a time of global challenges is not only a matter of international law, but also a prerequisite for building lasting peace, stability, and trust among nations.
