Spahiu: Osmani already in campaign, will run in coalition with the LDK in potential elections

Analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu assessed for Kosovo Online that Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has already entered a political campaign, and expects that she will form her own list, with which she will run in coalition with the Democratic League of Kosovo in the next elections, if they take place.

“She is already in the campaign and is presenting herself to citizens, and it is also known how she will run. She will be in a coalition with the LDK, she will probably form her own list and within it she will try to secure as much support as possible in the upcoming elections,” he said.

Spahiu notes that Osmani began her campaign as soon as it became clear that she would not be re-elected as president. In his assessment, Osmani has the potential to harm Albin Kurti more than Bedri Hamza and Lumir Abdixhiku.

“Her advantage is that she is brave, unscrupulous, charismatic, and very ego-driven. Unlike the other two opposition leaders, Bedri Hamza and Lumir Abdixhiku, who are not brave politicians, she is very brave and that will harm Albin Kurti much more,” he said.

Speaking about whether citizens will remember the good relationship she previously had with Kurti, Spahiu notes that he does not expect that to have an impact on potential elections.

“This is a people who forget quickly. They will forget,” Spahiu concluded.
