The Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, stated that the protests organized by the Association of KLA War Veterans held in Pristina were massive and confirmed pan-Albanian discontent over historical injustice, as well as support for former KLA leaders.
“Massive protests in Pristina have once again confirmed deep pan-Albanian discontent over historical injustice, as well as support for former KLA leaders who, contrary to all legal, international, moral, logical, and human standards, are being held in detention in The Hague,” Spiropali wrote on Facebook.
She added that the fact former KLA leaders are in The Hague is “an act against the law, against freedom, and an abuse of the sovereignty of an independent and democratic state.”
“Justice cannot be overturned, victims cannot be declared aggressors, and aggressors cannot be portrayed as victims,” Spiropali emphasized.
