Stoisavljevic on behalf of the healthcare workers: Help us get rid of Kurti's terror

The head nurse of the Clinical Hospital Center "Kosovska Mitrovica" Ivana Stoisavljevic said today at a peaceful protest in Zvecan, that the Serbs were determined to stay on their centuries-old hearths and that they were asking the international community and Serbia to protect them from the "terror of Albin Kurti" in order to continue with a normal life and work.

"Today I am addressing you on behalf of all the employees of the Clinical Hospital Center and on behalf of all dissatisfied and concerned citizens due to persecution, intimidation, and arrests coming from temporary institutions from Pristina. This is not a political rally, we are here to express a protest against the terror of arrests and beatings of our fellow citizens and our children. We are here to request the release of Rados Petrovic, Dusan Obrenovic, Milun Milenkovic Lune, Nemanja Vlaskovic, Milovan Bozovic, Sladjan Trajkovic, and our colleague healthcare technician Dalibor Spasic," Stoisavljevic said.

She pointed out that the citizens had also gathered to protest against the special units of the Kosovo Police, who two days ago on the Brnjak-Rudine road had mistreated and beaten minor children, a brother and a sister Kristijan and Dara.

"All of the above were beaten and arrested solely because they are Serb, with the aim of instilling fear and insecurity in the Serbs, making them feel unsafe and not seeing a future for themselves or their children in the areas where they have been for centuries," Stoisavljevic said.

According to her, the only intention of the government in Pristina and Albin Kurti is to evacuate the Serbs from Kosovo, to arrest one part and expel the other.

"Unfortunately, another Serb, Uros Vukasinovic, was arrested this morning in the municipality of Leposavic, so we are all wondering who is next. On this occasion, we would like to address the domestic and international public, representatives of international institutions, KFOR, EULEX, OSCE, and all people of goodwill in Serbia and the world to protect us from Kurti's terror and to free the Serbs. We ask that the Serbs be freed and Serbia to protect us, that Special Forces with long guns and armored vehicles withdraw from our municipalities from the north so that we can return to normal flows of life," she said.

She said that the Serbs wanted children in Kosovo to continue their education normally, students with further education, and healthcare workers to do their work unhindered and help people regardless of differences and nationality.

"No matter what situation we are in, we must be united and unified. We must not divide now. I would like to send a message on behalf of all of us that we are determined to stay at our hearths, in our apartments and houses because we have been living on our land for centuries," Stoisavljevic said.

Several thousand Serbs, led by the healthcare workers, marched from the area of the Clinical Hospital Center in North Mitovica to the Princ Lazar monument, from where they continued their protest march to Zvecan, in order to express their dissatisfaction with the arrested and mistreated Serbs from the north.
