Acting ministers Xhelal Sveçla and Faton Peci visited the premises of the former public enterprise “Srbijasume” – specifically, the “Ibar” Forest Management Unit in Leposavic. “These premises have now been returned to the administration of the Kosovo Forestry Agency,” announced Peci, acting Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Rural Development, in a Facebook post.

A new sign was installed today at the former offices of the enterprise, bearing the name of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development of Kosovo and the Kosovo Forestry Agency – ASK Mitrovica Office.

In his social media post, Peci claimed that the offices had been “occupied by illegal and criminal Serbian structures operating in Kosovo.”

“In the north – through action! As part of efforts to extend legality and sovereignty across the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo, today measures were taken to liberate the offices of the Kosovo Forestry Agency, which had been usurped by illegal and criminal Serbian structures operating in Kosovo. These facilities have now been returned under the authority of the Kosovo Forestry Agency,” Peci wrote.

He added that this action was necessary to ensure the regular functioning of the ASK personnel in fulfilling the agency’s strategic and legal objectives, including the proper management of forest resources, prevention of illegal logging in the Leposavic region, and execution of official duties in line with the agency’s legal mandate.
