Commander of NATO’s Allied Joint Force Command Naples, Admiral George Wikoff, met today with representatives of the Serb List and North Mitrovica Mayor Milan Radojevic, stressing that lasting security depended on political solutions rather than military measures.

The meeting with Serb List representatives was also attended by newly appointed KFOR Commander Roberto Vergori and his predecessor, Ozkan Ulutas.

During the talks, it was reiterated that KFOR’s mission remained unchanged, as did its commitment to all people and communities in Kosovo.

“Lasting security depends on political solutions, not military measures,” KFOR said in a statement on Facebook.

Italian General Roberto Vergori assumed command of KFOR today. He succeeded Turkish General Ozkan Ulutas, who officially completed his second term at the helm of the NATO-led mission in Kosovo.
