Tolic and Spasojevic sentenced to life imprisonment in Banjska case, Maksimovic to 30 years

The defendants in the Banjska case, Vladimir Tolic and Blagoje Spasojevic, have been sentenced at first instance to life imprisonment, while Dušan Maksimovic was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Tolic and Spasojevic were not present at the pronouncement of the judgment.
A large number of media crews attended the sentencing, while security measures were heightened.
Maksimovic, Tolic and Spasojevic were charged with an attack on the constitutional order and security of Kosovo, as well as terrorism. They were arrested immediately following the events in Banjska in 2023 and have been in detention ever since.
They are part of an indictment filed by the Special Prosecution of Kosovo on 11 September 2024 against 45 individuals in connection with the Banjska case.
