Carlson: NATO is not a defensive alliance; did they create Kosovo by defending themselves?
American journalist Tucker Carlson delivered sharp criticism of NATO and its offensive actions, particularly pointing out the bombing of Yugoslavia, Novosti reports.
In a conversation with British television host Piers Morgan, he challenged Morgan's claim that NATO is a defensive alliance.
"Where were you during the war in Yugoslavia when they bombed Christians in Yugoslavia? Do you remember that? That was pretty offensive," Carlson asked Morgan in an interview published on the journalist’s website.
Carlson reacted to Morgan’s statement that "NATO has never acted unilaterally in an aggressive manner and has never attacked anyone without being attacked first."
"And who in Yugoslavia attacked NATO?" Carlson asked.
Morgan responded that NATO has always acted "defensively," to which Carlson fired back with another question:
"So they defensively created Kosovo? Well, who was the aggressor there?"
Morgan was unable to give a clear answer, at which point Carlson interrupted him and said that at that moment, "he should just admit defeat."
When Morgan asked whether everyone in Yugoslavia were "good guys," Carlson responded that he wasn’t claiming that but continued presenting facts.
"I didn’t say they were good guys, but that it was an aggressive action. Bill Clinton said, ‘I don’t like what you’re doing, I will use NATO to kill you.’ He did it, and created Kosovo as a military base," Carlson said.
