A spokesperson for the U.S. Embassy in Pristina told Kosovo Online that the ongoing political deadlock is undermining confidence in Kosovo’s institutions, adding that they would like to see all political groups cooperate in the interest of the citizens.

“We are closely monitoring developments. This ongoing political deadlock undermines confidence in Kosovo’s institutions. We would like to see all political groups work together in the best interest of the people of Kosovo,” the spokesperson for the U.S. Embassy in Pristina said for our portal.

Following the failure to elect a president and the dissolution of the Assembly, Kosovo will hold early parliamentary elections on June 7.

Political parties registered in Kosovo are required to notify the Central Election Commission by May 7 whether they will participate in the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo.
