Veliu: Kurti’s reckless actions are a setback for Kosovo

The former Kosovo Minister of Internal Affairs Agim Veliu said that the actions by the Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti were reckless and contrary to the interest of Kosovo, the Albanian news portal Nacionale reported on Monday.

Veliu emphasized that Kurti's actions were inconsistent with internal and international factors and that they set Kosovo back. He added that the Kosovo government had to act in coordination with the US.

Describing the situation in the north of Kosovo as tense, Veliu noted that any Serb counteraction would harm Kosovo.

"It was not in Kosovo’s interest for the events to develop in this way; better coordination will be needed in the future", Veliu stated.
