Dacic: There is no recognition of Kosovo's independence or entry into the United Nations
Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic stated today in the Serbian Parliament that Serbia's policy regarding Kosovo was clear, and there would be no recognition of Kosovo's independence, nor would it enter the United Nations, RTV reports.
Dacic said that he repeated this statement due to various manipulations and interpretations.
He stressed that Serbia would implement only what was in line with its state policy.
"I am a personal witness to everything that happened in 2012. Back then, negotiations and dialogues were moved to Brussels. The Brussels Agreement was signed in good faith to ensure that the Serbs have their institutions in Kosovo and Metohija. When you have, on the other side, the one leading the dialogue, who should be a credible partner, which is the EU, then you either participate in it or not, and thanks to the Brussels Agreement, Serbia opened negotiations for EU membership," Dacic said.
He reminded that 28 countries had withdrawn their recognition of Kosovo, adding that they no longer had 84 votes in the UN today, whereas the number had been around 110 ten years ago.
