The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, met today with the President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, in Villa Mir in Belgrade, and after the meeting, answering questions from journalists; he said that only a strong state could allocate funds and help the people of Kosovo.

"Some people here don't understand that. I didn't lie about the attacks on our people. Whether Radoicic is an academic or not. But he was ready to fight for his people, unlike those who were ready to criminalize our people. Don't look for a reason to run a campaign against the Serbs from anyone else, and we know who ordered you to run that campaign. My bottom line is to see how the Serbs will survive in Kosovo," Vucic said.

President Vucic said about James Rubin's statements that he had tried to remain silent and be the master of unspoken words.

"But I have a counter-question to his demands. He said that he hoped that Podgorica was not dependent on Belgrade and Moscow. Aside from the fact that these things are not even close to the truth, they are talking about the fact that some people in the US administration are people who are dependent on the politics of the 90s where there is animosity towards the Serbs, but we are trying to lead a policy of peace towards them. It never occurs to me to go to wars that we will lose, and we will not allow the persecution of our people," the President said.

You also referred to the alleged sale of arms to Ukraine.

"What do you want us to do? To abolish factories, salaries, and pensions? Does that make sense? I don't understand what they want from us. When we work with Azerbaijan, they say that we are working illegally for Russia - those who sold our tanks. As for the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija, I didn't offer anything, but they know what the state does and how it helps. And what did they do? Silence, and in 2004, not even that. And when Kosovo declared independence, they expelled the Macedonian and Montenegrin ambassadors, leaving the American one," Vucic said.

Vucic pointed out that he had discussed with Dodik all the important issues of Serbia and Republika Srpska.

"Milorad Dodik introduced me to his view of the state of relations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska. On behalf of Serbia, I said that we considered the Dayton Peace Agreement to be the essence of the functioning of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska, too, and that we would always support the speech of all three constituent nations. They spoke about many concrete things. At the next session of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, we will have a joint session. We will have a proposal for the conclusion of two memorial centers - the construction of two memorial centers in the lower town and the commemoration of the suffering of the Serbs in Jasenovac and a monument to them in Serbia, whose management team will include representatives of the governments and assemblies of these two countries. We also received the Patriarch's blessing. In addition to the municipalities we helped, we will also help Sokolac, Visegrad, Nevesinje, and Bileca. I wish everyone a happy upcoming Easter to all Orthodox believers wherever they live," Vucic said.
