The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, pointed out today that he made the decision to present the Order to the former Special Envoy of the US President, Richard Grenell, based on his advocacy for Serbia.

When asked if the government pays Grenell and what his credits are for deserving the Order from the state of Serbia, Vucic replied that he thought the government did not pay him.

"I have no idea, I'm not in the government. I know that you deceived the public with stories that I paid Blair, Schroder, Gusenbauer, and the Clintons. I believe that's the case here as well," Vucic answered the question of the N1 journalist.

Vucic emphasized that the decision to award the Order to Grenell was made by him personally and that it had nothing to do with the government.

"This has nothing to do with the government's decision, but mine. I think he is one of the few people from the US who has a balanced approach to Kosovo. Of course, his position is not entirely different from the American administration, but he was always ready to listen to the Serbian side. He advocated for the arrival of American investments in Serbia, and investment funds, he advocated for peace and for Serbia. For me, that was enough to make a decision about the award," Vucic emphasized.

Vucic emphasized that money was not important to him, but someone's contribution to the progress of Serbia was.

"States are often created through adventure, and once a state is created, it no longer tolerates adventurism, and no one must play with the state, we must be serious in order to preserve the state and the people", Vucic repeated the message from the speech at the Sretenje Academy "Knezev Zapis" in Kragujevac, on the occasion of celebrating the Statehood Day.
