Vucic: I know everything the Albanians have in Kosovo
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated today that he is aware of all the weaponry possessed by Albanians in Kosovo, while also emphasizing that Serbia has sufficient deterrence mechanisms to ensure that no country in the region would attack it.
During a visit to Lucani, responding to a question regarding statements by Croatian officials about hypersonic missiles allegedly acquired by Serbia, Vucic said he was surprised that they had made “so much noise” about it.
“Everyone involved in that line of work should know everything. I know everything the Albanians have in Kosovo and Metohija—I know every vehicle they have. There is not a single one that I do not know about. I know where the Bayraktars are and everything else. That is our job,” Vucic explained.
He stressed that Serbia will not attack anyone, as it never has.
“I hope and I am confident that we will preserve peace, precisely because we have sufficient deterrence mechanisms so that no one from the region would attempt anything of the sort,” Vucic underlined.
He also noted that a repetition of 1999 is not possible, as the situation today would be significantly different.
“Today it is very difficult to enter Serbia’s airspace. We have a multi-layered defense system. We now protect large areas, not only Belgrade and Novi Sad,” Vucic said.
He further announced that tomorrow he will hold a meeting concerning the procurement of new weapons, adding that “what Serbia is doing is no longer naive for anyone.”
