Vucic: I will write to Rutte about opening the bridge over the Ibar, I hope he will accept my request for it not to be opened
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that everything Western countries are doing in Kosovo is a civilizational disgrace and announced that he would write to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and appeal to him for the bridge over the Ibar not to be opened to traffic.
While visiting the construction site of the Tirsova 2 Children's Hospital, Vucic said that the international community must justify its crimes committed in 1999, as well as its wrong decisions, and forcefully push for Kosovo's independence.
“The Albanians told them that a Serb had beaten Nenad Raskovic. Of course they lied. They are not particularly interested. On the first day they said that the images were terrible, and then they fell silent,” he said.
Regarding the situation surrounding the bridge over the Ibar, Vucic said that all of this is being done without the consent of North Mitrovica Mayor Milan Radojevic.
“A Turk is doing this, the KFOR commander. I will write to Mark Rutte today. I hope he will respond to my letter and accept my request not to do this. I will do that today or tomorrow. To me, this is a great disgrace and disappointment. It tells us that nervousness has entered their ranks, that they do not know how to force Serbia to accept an independent Kosovo. We will do what we can to help our people. Things are slowly changing in the world, but not as quickly as we expected. An entire people is being harassed every day and driven from their ancestral homes. We will see what their response will be,” Vucic said.
He added that Chief of the General Staff Milan Mojsilovic had a very bad conversation with the KFOR commander.
“This happened for the first time. We will see how the situation develops,” Vucic concluded.
