Vucic meets with Rogers: Serbia becoming an increasingly important partner of the United States in the region
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met today with the U.S. State Department’s Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy Sarah Rogers to discuss the further enhancement of cooperation between Serbia and the United States in all areas of mutual interest.
“We are particularly pleased by the confirmed participation of the United States in the specialized international exhibition Expo 2027 in Belgrade, which represents major recognition for Serbia and confirmation of the reputation our country has built on the international stage,” Vucic wrote on the Instagram account “Buducnostsrbijeav.”
As he added, Expo 2027 will be the largest international event in Serbia’s modern history and an opportunity to present to the world a modern, successful, and open country, ready to further develop partnerships and strengthen its economic and political position.
“I believe that during Expo 2027, Belgrade will send a strong image of Serbia as a country of stability, development, and new opportunities,” Vucic emphasized.
He recalled that this year also marks the 145th anniversary of relations between Serbia and the United States, which represents an important foundation for the further strengthening of partnership and political dialogue.
“The economic cooperation between our countries continues to grow, with an increasing number of American companies investing in Serbia, particularly in the fields of infrastructure, energy, and new technologies. At the same time, trade exchange is increasing, confirming that Serbia is becoming an increasingly important partner of the United States in the region. Serbia remains open to further cooperation with American partners, especially in the field of renewable energy sources and new investments, with the goal of continuing to build a modern, stable, and economically strong Serbia,” the Serbian president stated.
