Vucic: Menendez did everything against Serbia; it was clear that the Albanians paid him
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said, regarding the indictment against US Senator Robert Menendez for bribery, that he was the most powerful Albanian lobbyist, who had done everything against Serbia in such a way that it was clear that the Albanians were paying him for it.
"We are talking about a man who is the most powerful Albanian lobbyist. There is no one who was worse towards Serbia, who did a dirtier job than Bob Menendez," Vucic told reporters yesturday in New York.
He added that Menendez had tried to lobby for the recognition of Kosovo in Cyprus and Greece since he was very influential in both Nicosia and Athens.
"He did everything he could against us. When you see that creepy style, without argumentation, but that he is constantly attacking his target, like a sparrowhawk or a hawk, it is clear that he was paid by the Albanians," Vucic pointed out.
He also added that the case was connected to the Egyptian Government, probably because it was politically appropriate, due to the President of Egypt Fattah El-Sisi, and Cairo's accession to BRICS, but that it was yet to be determined what it was really about.
