President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, stated tonight, speaking about the ban on the use of the dinar in Kosovo, that offers had been made to Belgrade to sell the branch of the Postal Savings Bank in Kosovo to a foreign bank, but Serbia would not do so because it did not sell its bank branches or ownership stakes, just as it would not accept the abolition of the dinar.

In his address to the public, he pointed out that he could not even say what kind of pressures were being exerted on Serbia in Brussels regarding the abolition of the dinar, not because he did not want to be transparent, but because it was a disgrace.

"Do you know what they all want from us? They've come to the point of saying that the euro is their currency in Kosovo, but the European Central Bank does not recognize that... We said we would deposit however they wanted, but then they said - you couldn't do it through the Postal Savings Bank. They want us to sell the branches of the Postal Savings Bank to foreigners, Raiffeisen Bank, or others. We don't sell our bank branches or ideal ownership stakes. Simply put, they're not sane all together," Vucic stated.

He reiterated that Serbia "neither casually nor in any way" would accept the abolition of the dinar.

"Don't pat us on the back anymore, you've lied to us and deceived us enough," Vucic emphasized.

He underscored that Serbia's stance had changed, and no one would force it to change its position and accept something just because Serbia was being polite.

Vucic also said that the persecution of the Serbs was thoroughly organized, and there was "loud and organized silence."
