Ministry of Defense: Montenegro will not join the military alliance of Zagreb, Tirana, and Pristina

Montenegro's Ministry of Defense has rejected media reports suggesting that the country could join the military alliance of Zagreb, Tirana, and Pristina, stressing that no discussions have been held on the matter and that Podgorica has no plans to become part of such an alliance.

"In order to provide the public with accurate information and prevent the spread of disinformation, we wish to point out that Montenegro has not held talks on joining the aforementioned military alliance, nor does it plan to become part of it," the Montenegrin Ministry of Defense stated on Instagram.

The Ministry added that claims suggesting otherwise are inaccurate.

The Ministry's response followed media reports that the alliance initiated by Zagreb, Tirana, and Pristina through the signing of the Joint Declaration on Defense Cooperation could be expanded to include Montenegro.
