Due to the situation in the north of Kosovo, and as a sign of solidarity with the Albanians there, a protest was held in front of the Embassy of Serbia in Tirana today, in which about twenty citizens participated.

Calling for the unity of all Albanians under the slogan "We are one", the participants of the protest, which was organized by the non-governmental organization from the US, based in New York, "Our Roots", spoke about the alleged Serbian crimes and injustices against the Albanians which, as they stated, had been committed during the last three decades.

As reported by the Kosovo Online reporter from Tirana, they, carrying banners "Stop racism and chauvinism", as well as Albanian flags with a map of the territory from 1913, had continued the protest in front of the Albanian government building, demanding Prime Minister Edi Rama to prevent the return of the Serbian army to Kosovo and abandon the Open Balkans initiative, as well as any cooperation with Serbia.

"The wind of war is felt in the north of Kosovo. The position of the Government of Serbia and President Vucic is an aggressive attitude and warmongering. Our anxiety as Albanian citizens is great because the issue of Albanians in the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac, and Medvedja should be treated equally to those who live in the Republic of Serbia," Professor Dashamir Uruci said during the protest.

The protest, which was secured by a few policemen, ended in front of Edi Rama's office without incident.
