Belgrade to host the 'World PR Oscar' award ceremony on October 18
Belgrade will host a unique gala ceremony on October 18th – the awarding of the most prestigious global recognition, the IPRA Golden World Awards (IPRA GWA), also known as the "World PR Oscar," organized by Blumen Group, Avala Media Group and Smart Vision.
Each year, the IPRA international jury, consisting of 40 communication professionals, grants this award to the best campaigns by companies, organizations, and agencies that have demonstrated professional excellence and inspired changes in their communities or globally.
According to the organizers, this year, titles of the best campaigns will be awarded to more than 25 countries from Belgrade.
Ahead of the IPRA GWA 2024 award gala ceremony, communication professionals from Serbia, the region, and around the world will gather on the same day for the PR Summit with the theme "Trust is PRiority!"
The organizers point out that growing distrust is a global problem, leading to increasing misunderstanding. This makes the role and responsibility of communication professionals in shaping the future even more significant, given the influence they have in forming public opinion.
Both events – the IPRA GWA Gala Ceremony and the PR Summit – will be held at the Metropol Palace Hotel on October 18th. They are intended for communication professionals across industries, institutions, and organizations; communication professionals of all generations and areas (integrated communications, media relations, digital communications, social media, corporate communications, brand communications...); managers and leaders for whom communication is a strategic tool in leading teams, companies, and organizations; and entrepreneurs who strategically position themselves on the market through communication.
Information, registration, and fees can be found on the website https://www.prsummit.rs/.
IPRA (International Public Relations Association) is one of the oldest associations of communication professionals, founded in 1955. It is a leading global network of PR professionals and has held consultative status with the United Nations since 1983. Both IPRA and its members share one mission: "Leading trust and ethics in global communication."
