Specialist in gynecology primary Dr. Slavko Krstic, who was awarded the Sretenje Order of of the Third Degree for exceptional services in the field of medical sciences and work in the maternity hospital in Pasjan, pointed out that this recognition means a lot to him, as to all employees, given that, as he says, due to situation in Kosovo, to give birth in his hospital, a person needs to be a real virtuoso.

After the ceremony where he received the medal from the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, on the occasion of the Statehood Day, Krstic said that it is difficult to work in hospitals in Kosovo, but also expressed his satisfaction that more and more babies are being born in the maternity hospital in Pasjan, since it was renovated.

"Thanks to President Vucic who opened the renovated General Hospital in Pasjan, which was initially called a maternity hospital, we have more than 1,000 births there. That's 1,000 new residents, but each birth is worth like 30, maybe more, in a large city. There, people work completely alone, with medical staff, with midwives who are very skilled and without any special consultations. To give birth there, a person needs to be a real expert," Krstic told Kosovo Online.

He points out that the award is an incentive to continue with even better work.

He is especially happy that the president of Serbia personally awarded him the award.

"This award means a lot to me. I am very happy to have received it, especially from the hands of President Aleksandar Vucic. I feel exceptional. This gives me an incentive to continue with better work," said Krstic.

He thanked and greeted all colleagues, employees and members of his team at the General Hospital in Pasjan, who, he says, together contributed to him being in Belgrade today and receiving the Order for his work.
