March in support of Palestine in Pristina
The protest march in Pristina today expressed support for the Palestinians in their war with Israel.
The march was organized by the Collective for feminist thought and action, which called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
"We are here because we cannot remain silent when an entire nation's existence is denied when children and adults are the targets of bombings, constant threats of death, or deportation. We cannot be indifferent or neutral when we are faced with evidence of the bloody images of a people seeking help from all of us," the organizers stated on Facebook.
The gathered citizens walked from Zahir Pajaziti Square to Skanderbeg Square.
Some of the messages carried by the demonstrators included "No peace without liberation", "Israel is a fascist state", "50,000 pregnant women live under bombardment", and "Bombing children is not self-defense".
This is the second march organized in Pristina in solidarity with Palestine in a week. A group of citizens raised Palestinian flags in the center of Prizren last night.
Israel has promised to eradicate Hamas, the group responsible for attacks in southern Israel on October 7th. So far, more than 7,300 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and over 1,400 Israelis have been killed as a result of the violence.
