North Mitrovica: More than 5,000 women rally against Kurti's ghetto

In North Mitrovica, a protest rally was held under the name "Mothers of Kosovo and Metohija against Kurti's ghetto" where more than 5,000 women gathered.

Despite the heavy rain and bad weather, a large number of women gathered in North Mitrovica where a women's protest march began at 3 pm, pointing out the inhumane behavior of Pristina and Albin Kurti towards Serbs.

The protest called "Mothers of Kosovo and Metohija against the Kurti’s ghetto" comes as a response of women from the north of Kosovo against the "oppression and cruelty" they suffer daily from the authorities in Pristina.

The gathered women carry numerous banners that read "Kurti, I will not give you children" and "It's not a caprice, I want peace."

Other messages are:

"I want to prepare my son for the wedding, Kurti has had enough of conflicts", "We have had enough of slavery under Kurti", "Saints, do not close your eyes to Kurti's terror", "How long do we have to endure violence against our children?", "Why are Serbian children on Kosovo and Metohija deprived of a carefree childhood?", "I don't want my children to live in fear of Kurti's cruelty", "I was born here, I gave birth to my children here, I stay here to take care of my grandchildren",

"I don't want another country, I want my Serbia!"...

The protest of all women was announced at a press conference yesterday by Gordana Savic, the head of the health promotion and scientific research service at the Clinical Hospital Center in North Mitrovica, who said that the women would not allow Kurti to take money that is very much needed for their children to get an education and grow under normal conditions.

Protest svih žena juče je na konferenciji za medije najavila Gordana Savić, načelnica službe za promociju zdravlja i naučno istraživačkuu delatnost u Kliničko bolničkom centru u Severnoj Mitrovici, koja je poručila da žene neće dozvoliti da Kurti uzima novac koji je prekopotreban njihovoj deci kako bi se školovali i rasli u normalnim uslovima.
