Office for Kosovo and Metohija: "KLA" inscriptions appeared on the children's playground in Ugljare

In the village of Ugljare near Kosovo Polje, at a playground renovated last year by the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, "UCK" (KLA) inscriptions have appeared.

According to the statement from the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, this is the most terrifying and shameless form of threat that should not be tolerated in any civilized society.

"Only cowards and despicable individuals of the worst kind engrave threatening political messages on children's playground. On this occasion, we clearly and unequivocally state that no one will be allowed to endanger the safety of children in Kosovo and Metohija, regardless of whether they are Serbian or of another nationality," the Office for Kosovo and Metohija emphasized.

They note that the "chauvinistic policy" of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has started echoing on children's playgrounds, and "only someone pretending to be oblivious can deny the direct connection between his policy of terror and threats to Serbian children."

"Serbs in Ugljare have been living in an inhospitable environment for years, and the treatment towards them is the best indicator of the extreme intolerance in the society being built by Albin Kurti and his ideological allies," the statement reads.

It is added that Serbs in Ugljare are not alone, and the responsibility for the fragile situation on the ground lies with the international community.

"If anyone thinks that Serbs in Ugljare are an easy target, they should think twice because they are neither alone nor helpless. This should be particularly known to representatives of the international community, who bear full responsibility for the very fragile situation on the ground," the Office for Kosovo and Metohija emphasized.

They reminded that just a few days ago, shots were fired near a school in Ugljare, confirming that the threat to Serbs in that village is not imaginary or exaggerated but rather very real and requires an urgent response to enable people to live a normal life there and children to grow up without fear.
