Statistics: Kosovo has almost 30,000 fewer employees than in the first quarter of last year

According to the data of the Kosovo Agency for Statistics (KAS), the number of employees in Kosovo decreased by 28,085 in April this year compared to the first quarter of 2022, Reporteri reports.

In the first quarter of 2022, 388,531 people were employed, while this number fell to 360,446 in April 2023.

"In April, 360,446 persons were registered as employed with a primary salary," according to the latest KAS report from labor market data for April 2023.

The Government of Kosovo continues to state that unemployment in Kosovo is decreasing.

However, even the "SuperPuna" project, which the Government pompously presents to increase employment, does not seem to have affected reducing unemployment, Kosova Press reports.
