The "Open Balkans" initiative, although of a regional nature, is recognized as important and promising in Europe as well. Senior advisor at the international company "Teneo" Nathalie De Gaulle points out for Kosovo Online that it is an excellent idea, like any that contributes to the removal of barriers and encourages exchange.
"I think it's a great initiative. It was seen that progress was also achieved in the European Union, with the expansion to 27 countries, which encouraged the development of the economy and, above all, exchanges between nations," said De Gaulle.
As she noted, everything that contributes to the efficiency and improvement of economic exchange, opening borders, is something "extraordinary".
"Anything that encourages the opening of economies, borders, the free exchange of people and goods is a good thing, in the long run, for the economies of the Balkans," said De Gaulle, who participated in the
"Strategic Economic Forum" of the Southeast European Business Development Network (SEEBDN) from Vienna which is located in Savudrija in Croatia.
