Correspondent Euronews Albania: One of Kurti's bodyguards pushed me and threw my equipment on the floor
The correspondent of Euronews Albania from Pristina, Kosove Gjoci, was in an unpleasent situation yesterday caused by the bodyguard of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
One of the members of Kurti's security pushed Gjoci, when he tried to approach and take a statement from Kurti, snatched the equipment from his hands and threw it on the floor.
"For no reason, one bodyguard pushed me and threw all my equipment on the floor, and the other, instead of asking me to talk, threatened me with the words 'take a good look and remember.' This action was completely unnecessary and unacceptable," Gjoci wrote on Facebook.
The incident happened after yesterday's meeting between Kurti and EU special envoy Miroslav Lajcak, in front of the main entrance to the Government building.
Namely, while Lajcak went to one exit in front of a larger group of journalists, Kurti went to another exit, where Gjoci was waiting for him with a group of fellow journalists.
"What impressed me, apart from the idiotic behavior of these two members of the prime minister's security, is the fact that although Kurti saw and heard most of this situation, he just ignored it at that moment and even came out and talked to us," says Gjoci.
Kosove Gjoci has been working as a journalist for 20 years, and is currently a correspondent for Euronews Television Albania.
