Church of St. Nedelja in Gornja Gusterica ransacked
Last night, two unknown persons with phantoms on their heads ransacked the church of St. Nedelja in Gornja Gusterica and took money from it, priest Vladan Vukomanovic confirmed for Kosovo Online.
According to the priest, the church was raided around two o'clock after midnight.
"Unknown perpetrators came to Gornja Gusterica, to the church of Sveta Nedelja, they broke the entrance door with a blunt object, it was probably a crowbar. They entered the church and broke the table where candles and other church goods are sold, and from that table they took some small money in metal, about seventy euros. They moved everything in the altar, where we keep the holy vessels, vestments," said priest Vukomanovic, reminding that just one day ago the church in Dobrotin was destroyed.
The case was reported to the Kosovo Police, which conducted an investigation.
"The church also has video surveillance; we watched the footage with the police. It is about two unknown persons with phantoms on their heads," said the priest.
Yesterday, in the neighboring village of Dobrotin, the church of St. Dimitri was broken into, from where the burglars took a box with a voluntary donation.
In Dobrotin, a person recently painted "UCK", "Albania" and "Free Gaza" graffiti on the infirmary and kindergarten, and the priest Milan says that the locals are worried about the increasingly frequent incidents.
Also, in Skulanevo near Lipljan, the Serbian flag was removed from the grave of the recently deceased Ivica Talic on two occasions, and unknown perpetrators also damaged the fence at the Orthodox cemetery in that place.
