The flag once again removed from the grave of Ivica Talic in Skulanevo near Lipljan
The Serbian flag has once again been removed from the grave of the recently deceased Ivica Talic in Skulanevo near Lipljan, his brother Jovica Talic confirmed to Kosovo Online.
Jovica said that this morning, when he was returning from work, he noticed that the flag had been removed.
“This is not the first time, but the second time they have removed the flag. The flag does not represent any provocation, it is a custom, but we cannot explain that to someone. They do not understand our customs, what else can I say. It is hard for me, I truly cannot speak anymore, and I also appeal to the Office for Kosovo and Metohija to meet us halfway, to connect us to electricity, the Albanians do not want to connect our electricity. We also need cameras. I will continue to put up the flag as long as I can, I have nothing else to say,” Talic said.
Asked since when the Church has been without electricity, Talic said that the power supply was cut off even before Christmas.
“They were here one day, they were fixing something, however, they did not want to repair the malfunction. KFOR also visited us, they promised they would go to the competent authorities, I am waiting for them to let me know whether they will complete the job or not. It is difficult, it is shameful what is being done.”
He explained that the flag is placed on the grave because the deceased was young and unmarried.
“The flag is placed because the man was young, he was not married. It is a custom and does not represent a provocation,” Talic said.
Let us recall, ten days ago the fence at Ivica Talic’s grave was broken, the Serbian flag was taken from the grave, and flowers were scattered. The case was reported to the police, who conducted an on-site investigation.
