Kosovo Police conduct searches in Oklace near Zubin Potok, residents fearful

Members of the Kosovo Police are conducting searches in the village of Oklace near Zubin Potok, Kosovo Police Commander for the North Region Veton Elshani confirmed for Kosovo Online, adding that weapons had been found. Residents say there is panic and fear in the village.

According to local residents, three people from the village were taken away, two of whom have since returned home, while they say they still do not know the whereabouts of one elderly person, who is over 70 years old.

Elshani confirmed for Kosovo Online that police were conducting searches in the village of Oklace, located about 20 kilometers from Zubin Potok.

"The police are conducting searches in this village, and weapons have been found. The police will take statements from the owners of the properties where the weapons were found, while the competent authorities will decide on further proceedings," Elshani said.
