The Office for Kosovo and Metohija stated that the continuation of demolitions of buildings in the municipality of Zubin Potok, specifically the private property of the Jaksic family near Lake Gazivode, is evidence of what it described as Albin Kurti’s policy, which is allegedly aimed at “the destruction, devastation, usurpation and trampling of everything Serbian in Kosovo and Metohija.”

The statement said that today’s action by the so-called Kosovo Police was carried out without a final court decision, while the legal dispute initiated by the Jaksic family is still ongoing, with a hearing scheduled for August 12.

“This action represents the collapse of rights and justice for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija,” the Office for Kosovo and Metohija stated.

It added that, according to the same principle, private holiday homes belonging to several Serbian families on Lake Gazivode were recently demolished as well, which, according to the Office, representatives of the international community described as a unilateral action contrary to the regulations of the institutions in Pristina.

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija stated that this morning’s entry onto the property and into the Jaksic family’s motel, accompanied by the presence of police officers carrying rifles while family members were still asleep, was “another crude demonstration of the force used by Kurti’s police and his regime.”

“It is clear that Kurti is bothered by all Serbian traces in Kosovo and Metohija and that his goal is an ethnically pure Kosovo and Metohija, as well as that everything he does is aimed at expelling our people from their centuries-old homes,” the statement from the Office for Kosovo and Metohija concluded.
